pace Sorcerer Richard from our OGame division (that we had picked up from our allied guild PHALANX a few months ago) decided to not play OGame any longer and asked us to remove him from the roster and the private forums.

2005-04-28 / Guild Wars Released!

hat's right, the waiting is finally over. Guild Wars was released today to the public and those with their copies can get playing. Those without and only with "early access" will no longer be able to play from 8am GMT tomorrow.

ur Statutes and Guild Rules for the game divisions Magestorm and OGame are online and available to logged-in SoLD members.

Statutes for Guild Wars have yet to be written and established, but will follow soon after release.

Still pondering whether we need guild rules for Neverwinter Nights at all...

s you may well have spotted - we've made some new icons to fit better with the categories of news items.

New icons for these areas/topics: Artwork, Magestorm-Website, OGame-Website, Guildwars-Website and Neverwinter Nights. This should make things prettier and more structured. We've spent hours going through all archives to update previous news items, too.

fter a rather long process or discussing our statutes and re-writing them to fit our not-so-new-anymore multigaming membership system, they have received a rather huge update and been voted upon by the full members of SoLD.
Erhm and no one disagreed with them really so they're now in place and should be up for reading in the members section as soon as possible.

ell that's it all but over now. Special note of thanks here to Xeeron for showing me and Robin some PvP and talking strategies. Moritz also found his way there to try it out with us on Sunday evening. SoLD grew yet again in this last weekend.

hat a strange day.

• Another old-school member decided to give Guild Wars a try: Robin. Hope he likes it and sticks with us after release.
• Arild, who some of us know from way back when we played Neverwinter Nights together, and who also knows some of us in real life already ;) has decided to apply for SoLD membership.
• On a strangely related note, we've also started playing NWN again together (or are *just* starting).
• On the less bright side of news is my gw.dat got corrupted, so I miss the last day of the beta weekend (and just when we started to really PvP!).
• Speaking of which - we met StrikeForce in the Tombs! *waves*

e're currently enjoying ourselves in Guild Wars with our team (this time featuring Magus as a special guest) and toying around with Rurik. I bet you wanted to know that. Anyway, glad that we could get Adam to try out GW at least in the end. Next on the list... GvG :p

2005-04-11 / Changes in the 'help files' section

ince we made a seperate section for the help files amongst our parchments ages ago, they don't really need the little 'help file' icon next to the actual articles anymore.
So I've replaced the 'help file' icons with icons of the actual game the article is for - most of them are Magestorm articles but Guild Wars is only just starting :D This will hopefully make things a bit easier to find.
